OPI Red Dazzle

Hello everyone! Today I have a swatch of a hard to find polish to show you. I actually lucked into getting this a few weeks ago when my local Lawtons had all of their OPI nail polishes on sale for $5.99. I rooted around in the racks for a little while before I found Red Dazzle and when I got home and googled it, it turned out to be HTF! So I checked the price on ebay and it goes for around $45! I'll be keeping my bottle, but I thought that was pretty cool!

Anyway, Red Dazzle is a bright red jelly with sparse gold glitter in it. This polish is from OPI's Holiday 2006 collection I believe. I'm not really a fan of reds, I hardly ever wear them, but I liked this one. I think it was because of the glitter.

Revlon Ocean & OPI Teenage Dream

 Hey all! Today I've got a layering combo to share with you! I wasn't too fond of this combination. I'm not really sure why, but I probably won't do it again any time soon. Anyway, this is OPI Teenage Dream over Revlon Ocean.

Please, please, please excuse me for posting such terribly chipped nails! I did take a photo of my nails the day I did them, but it didn't look very good at all and it rained for a good three days so I couldn't take any photos in the sunlight before my polish chipped. I've really got to invest in/build my own light box...

Revlon Ocean

Hey there! Today I have a Revlon Top Speed polish to show you. This one is called Ocean. Ocean is a teal metallic with a tiny bit of duochrome which is only visible in certain light. As you can see, I didn't happen to capture it, but click here to see a swatch full of  it!

I noticed a few visible brush strokes after using this polish, but I still love this shimmery bottle of goodness! What are your thoughts on Revlon Ocean?

About ten minutes ago I was looking through the Shoppers Drug Mart flyer and I spotted a polish ad for Quo by Orly. Quo is a Shoppers Drug Mart exclusive line of color cosmetics and cosmetic accessories. I didn't know that they were going to be releasing a nail polish collection so I was pleasantly surprised! The polishes retail for $9.99 CAN and are available in Shoppers Drug Marts now.

Have any of you girls used this brand before? What do you think? Do you think you'll try it?

Revlon Gold Coin

Hey girls! Today I've got a swatch of the polish I've been wearing all week (gasp!), Revlon Gold Coin. Gold Coin is one of the three polishes from the Spring 2011 Metallics collection from Revlon. It's a very pretty cool-toned gold. I wasn't able to take any photos of this particular polish outside because of the weather, but in this photo you can see that it's very shiny and, believe me, it's even better in the sunlight!

Just so you all know, I'm not going to be doing my Friday Favorites for a while, just because I'm pretty busy these days.

Soccer Provincial Team Nails!

Grrr... Blogger didn't post this on the date I had this scheduled for!

Hey Girls! I think I mentioned before that I play on a Summer Ladies Soccer team. Anyway, out team made it to the provincial championships! We played two games yesterday and won the first one 5-1 and tied the second 2-2. Since I'm writing this post before we play today, I can't tell you how we've done yet, but I'll let you girls know in my next post if you're interested!

Anyway, of course I did my nails in the team colors for the occasion! Our team colors are dark/royal blue and white. The blue I used is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Blue It and the white I used is a Kiss Nail Art Striper.

I decided to add a bit of silver glitter over the line where the polishes intersect just for fun. The silver glitter I used is L.A. Colors Art Deco Silver Glitter (striper).

* Since this had to be posted late I can tell you we won our game Sunday morning (2-1) and lost the championship game (1-0). Second in the province though, that sounds pretty good to me!!

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Blue It

 Hey Girls! Today I've got another swatch for you. Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Blue It. I love this color! Generally, I don't wear dark, bright blues like this, but the shimmer in this one is to die for! I'll let the pictures show you what I'm talking about. 

If you've been following this blog for a while yes, I did swatch this a few months ago (here), but I did my nails for soccer provincials and this is the color I used as a base so I decided to update the swatch. Stay tuned for the provincial nails, I'm going to write the post right after I finish this one and schedule it for tomorrow!
